The delegation met with the Chinese Consul General, Yang Yundong, to convey their deep sorrow over the incident that resulted in the loss of lives among Chinese engineers. Other prominent members of the delegation included JUI leaders Molana Abdul Kareem Abid, Qari Muhammad Usman, Molana Muhammad Ghiyas, Molana Samiul Haq Swati, Haji Abdul Ghaffar Bhutto, and others. Allama Rashid Mahmood Soomro expressed profound sadness over the attack on the convoy of Chinese engineers near the Karachi airport. Highlighting the strength of the Pakistan-China friendship, Soomro affirmed, “This bond is timeless and as high as the Himalayas, and we will not allow any harm to come to it.” He reiterated the directive from JUI Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, emphasizing the need for adequate resources to ensure the protection of Chinese citizens.
