Key stakeholders from the Human Rights Department, Sindh Human Rights Commission, and the Treaty Implementation Cell (TIC) convened on Tuesday to discuss enhanced collaboration. The meeting, held at the office of the Secretary of the Human Rights Department, was chaired by Mrs. Tahseen Fatima, Secretary of the department, and included prominent figures such as Iqbal Ahmad Detho, Chairman of the Sindh Human Rights Commission, Agha FakharHussain, Director of the Human Rights Department, and JameelJunejo, Executive Coordinator of TIC, along with other senior officials.
The central focus of the meeting was to streamline efforts for strengthening human rights governance across Sindh. Discussions revolved around improving policy frameworks, bolstering monitoring mechanisms, and ensuring that the province is in full compliance with international treaties. Key strategies were outlined to enhance coordination among the three entities, aimed at ensuring more effective human rights interventions throughout the province.
All participants expressed their dedication to working collectively to safeguard and promote human rights in Sindh. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to act on the proposed action points and to continue fostering collaborative efforts to ensure human rights protections for all.
