Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) immigration team arrested a passenger at Jinnah International Airport (JIAP) for using fake documents. The suspect, Muhammad Naeem Khan, arrived in Pakistan from Malaysia and had a counterfeit immigration stamp on his passport indicating a departure from Karachi on March 26, 2023. According to information released by the FIA, there was no record of this fake stamp in the International Border Management System (IBMS).
The suspect acquired the counterfeit stamp from an agent named BakhtNawab, who is based in Malaysia, for 3,400 ringgits. The suspect has been transferred to the Anti-Human Smuggling Circle for further legal action, where investigations are ongoing. This operation underscores the FIA’s commitment to taking stringent measures against fake documents in the immigration system to combat human trafficking and illegal entry.
