ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and former three-time Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman are expected to have an important informal meeting on Monday (today).
The latest reports suggested that the meeting is expected in Islamabad.
They said that the informal meeting between Nawaz Sharif and Fazlur Rehman might take place at the President’s House in the presence of President Asif Zardari.
This will be the first meeting between the two political leaders in almost three months, following the onset of parliamentary tensions.
The sources said that leaders are gathering for a roundtable discussion on Palestine and Gaza, hosted by President Asif Ali Zardari.
It is likely that some matters of mutual interest will be discussed briefly on the sidelines of the conference.
