NEW YORK – Microsoft founder Bill Gates has dropped out of the top ten wealthiest individuals in the world for the first time since 1991.

The great techie has now ranked 12th among the world’s richest, according to the international magazine Forbes’s real time billionaires list.

Reports said a significant reason for the decline in Gates’ wealth is his divorce from Melinda French Gates in 2021.

In the new list of the world’s top ten wealthiest people, Elon Musk is in first place, followed by Larry Ellison in second and Jeff Bezos in third.

Mark Zuckerberg ranks fourth, Bernard Arnault and family are fifth, Warren Buffett is sixth, Larry Page is seventh, and Amancio Ortega is in eighth place among the richest individuals.

Amancio Ortega stands at ninth place followed by Steve Ballmer at the 10th spot in the list. However, Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani ranks 11th.
