Sindh High Court has postponed the hearing in the case concerning the degree of Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri for three weeks. The court heard petitions from the Islamabad High Court Bar, Karachi Bar Association, and others related to the case. During the proceedings, responses were submitted by University of Karachi and police officials. The federal government and the Pakistan Bar Council requested an extension to submit their replies.
The court has also included Islamia College Peshawar as a party in the case, with petitioners indicating that the college would also be made a respondent. Notably, the court has suspended the recommendations of the Unfair Means Committee and the syndicate’s decision regarding the degree matter.
