Authorities in Hyderabad have announced a school holiday on August 29, 2024 Thursday as heavy rains lashed parts of country including Sindh.
This decision follows a forecast from Met Office prediction about significant rainfall in Hyderabad and across the region.
All private and government educational institutions will remain closed tomorrow. This measure is part of the provincial government’s response to a rain emergency.
PMD, in its latest advisory, said Rain, and thundershower will lash Hyderabad, Karachi, Tharparkar, Nagarparkar, Islamkot, Mithi, Mirpur Khas, Umarkot, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Matiari, and Sanghar.
Heavy rains are expected to cause flooding in low-lying regions of Sindh, Balochistan, and southern Punjab. Met Office also warned of flash flooding in Hyderabad, and Karachi.
