The Islamabad Model College for Girls (IMCG F11/3) is the latest girls’ college that has received a completely-revamped and improved learning environment under the schools and colleges’ renovation drive launched by the Ministry of Education & Professional Training (MoE&PT).

The refurbished facilities have brought joy and excitement to the kids, providing them with a conducive space to learn and grow. According to an official of the Ministry of E&PT by the end of this year, the college will undergo further expansion, with the addition of 30 new rooms.

This will not only increase capacity but also provide more opportunities for students to explore their interests and reach their full potential.

The college also boasts of a hi-tech IT lab, Art & Culture Room, Podcast Room and Mind-Game Zone. Besides its library, smart classrooms and infirmary have also been upgraded. The college students upon their return to the college after vacation expressed their joy at the refurbished and renovated rooms and appreciated the work carried out by the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) its Director General Syed JunaidAkhlaq under the guidance of the Secretary of the MoE&PTMohyuddinWani.

A college teacher on condition of anonymity said the Education Secretary and the FDE high ups personally monitored the entire overhauling and upgrading of the college and sometimes visited the institute on a number of occasions for this purpose. An indoor gym and remodeling of the play area are also among the pleasant surprises the students encountered upon their return to the college.

Besides, a brand-new IT lab has been established at the IMCG F-11/3 marking a significant milestone in the efforts to enhance digital literacy and education in Islamabad. The lab was set up in a record time of just three days.

According to an official of the MoE&PT , by mid-September, a total of 70 such state-of-the-art IT labs will be established in government schools and colleges across Islamabad.

Out of the 70 labs, 50 will be set up in rural Islamabad, ensuring that students in these areas have access to the same quality of education and resources as their urban counterparts, the official said. As of now, 33 IT labs are already ready and operational.

Meanwhile, an Education Information Fair is scheduled on September 02 -14 (including Saturdays) for intermediate students (first and second year) of FDE colleges.

During this event, representatives from prominent Pakistani universities will conduct sessions to inform students about admission criteria, eligibility requirements, entry test preparations, scholarship opportunities, and other essential details.

Additionally, KIPS, a well-known coaching organization for the students of the federal capital, will offer guidance on entry test requirements and preparation tips. This fair is exclusively for students of all the FDE colleges.
