ISLAMABAD  –  A key figure in the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), Shambeen, also known by his alias Shahak, was killed on Tuesday.

The death of the wanted terrorist was confirmed by security sources on Tuesday.

According to the sources, Shambeen, alias Shahak, met his end at the hands of one of his own associates.

The internal conflict within the terrorist group has been described as a major blow to the BLF’s operations in the region.

Shambeen was reportedly involved in a series of terrorist activities across Balochistan. He played a direct role in numerous attacks on security forces and was also implicated in the killing of fellow militants who had surrendered to the authorities.

The security experts believed that the death of Shambeen would  cause major impact on operational capabilities of the BLF, which has been involved in the several violent incidents in the province.
