City set for rain under new Monsoon spell

A new monsoon spell is expected to bring rain to Karachi on Sunday and Monday. The Meteorological Department forecasts that the city’s skies will be mostly cloudy on Saturday, with stronger sea breezes recorded at speeds of up to 38 kilometers per hour (21 nautical miles).

The maximum temperature for the day is anticipated to be 31.5°C with a humidity level of 75%. Light showers and drizzles were observed in various parts of the city, including Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Federal B Area, Rashid Minhas Road, Sharah-e-Faisal, and University Road. Looking ahead, the weather is expected to remain predominantly cloudy over the next three days, with possible rainfall on Sunday and Monday.

Maximum temperatures are likely to range between 31°C and 33°C. On August 13, light rain is also forecasted for rural districts of Sindh, including Jacobabad, Kashmore, Ghotki, Shikarpur, Larkana, and Sukkur.
