The sources said that PCB  decided to further review team grouping and player discipline for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

The board decided to form a committee to review the reports of head coach Gary Kirsten and manager Wahab Riaz. It is likely that a former captain would head this committee.

The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and West Indies, reports of disciplinary violations and bad behavior by Shaheen Shah Afridi had surfaced.

According to the media reports, Shaheen Shah Afridi allegedly did not behave well during the World Cup 2024, and despite his bad behavior, team manager Wahab Riaz ignored Afridi’s disciplinary violations.

The sources also said that Wahab Riaz and Abdul Razzaq showed unnecessary favoritism towards certain players, and those players did not perform well.

Besides it, there were reports that during the World Cup, players were speaking against each other which disrupted the dressing room environment.
