Two most wanted criminals killed, one arrested in encounter

Additional Inspector General of Police for Karachi, JavedAkhtarOdho, announced on Friday that two most wanted criminals were killed and another apprehended following an encounter with Korangi district police.  Speaking at a press conference at the Karachi Police office on Friday, he detailed that the encounter occurred late Thursday night at the EBM Causeway.  The deceased were identified as Manthar and Ali Asghar, while the arrested suspect was named Jan. The captured individual confessed to involvement in numerous serious crimes.  The group was responsible for the murder of a Rangers official in Shah Latif and the injury of an AVLC official in a shooting incident. They were also involved in crimes including the molestation of women, as well as the killing and injuring of citizens during robberies.  Their criminal activities extended to areas near Malir River, Korangi River, Shah Faisal, Qayyumabad, Malir Expressway, Korangi Crossing, National Highway, Mochko, and other locations. The suspects had been named in multiple FIRs for street crimes.

, assaults on law enforcement officers, molestation, murders, attempted murders, robberies, and other grave offenses.  Authorities are continuing raids to apprehend their remaining accomplices.
