Political manoeuvring at the cost of national integrity

MOTHERLAND has been under the influence of terrorism, inflation, uncertainty and political turmoil for the past 76 years. The main reason for the political instability in the country is the clamor of the politicians who, to cover up their shortcomings and mistakes, start chanting for the intervention of the authority. For this reason, our political and democratic processes have become controversial because political leaders are not ready to accept responsibility for their failures. Every political party whoever is in power has no idea about the growing problems of the people like poverty and unemployment. Since expensive electricity, petrol and food items are out of the purchasing power, it has become more difficult for people to maintain the relationship between body and soul.

The announcement of banning PTI by the government is not the first time on any political party, many such decisions were made in the past. The federal government can impose this ban under Article 17 of the Constitution, but the final authority rests with the Supreme Court. There is no room for doubt that the Cipher’s narrative, in which Pakistan’s diplomatic level was greatly affected, was later proved to be a lie. May 9 is a black day on which PTI workers and important leaders attacked military installations, set fire to the building of Radio Pakistan, desecrated martyrs’ memorials and set Jinnah House Lahore on fire.

What kind of love is this with the country? Undoubtedly, targeting of state institutions and military assets by any political party is an unforgivable crime. The events of May 9 also allowed external adversaries to raise questions about the security of our nuclear assets while adding to the dire situation of a country already mired in an economic quagmire. The charge sheet against General Bajwa in Gujarat, slogans of Mir Jafar and Mir Sadiq, was a nefarious attempt to tarnish the image of Pakistan abroad. Then an effort was also made to prevent a new deal from the IMF, i.e. no effort was spared to bankrupt the country. Now the blame is placed on the forces of Pakistan and the secret agencies of the country.

On June 26, the US House of Representatives called for a full and independent investigation into the elections in Pakistan. This is nothing but just a bullying. PTI’s lobbying firms were behind this resolution. It is said that Tehreek-e-Insaaf hired the services of several lobbying firms abroad after coming out of power. These firms also got statements in favor of Imran Khan from abroad. The question is why no such international resolution came in favor of Kashmir and Palestine.

There are also reports that Israeli and Indian lobbying firms also played a role in the approval of this resolution behind closed doors. They are afraid of our nuclear program. These elements want to spread the impression that Pakistan is unsafe for foreign investment by increasing terrorism, extremism, fear and political instability in Pakistan. After 9/11, operations like Operation Rahe-e-Nijat, Operation Rahe-e-Haq, Operation Zarb-e-Azb and Operation Radal al-Fasaad were carried out to defeat terrorists in the country, and now, on the basis of the serious threats facing the country’s security, Operation Azm e Ishtehqam is being launched against terrorists on which some political parties had expressed reservations. Are these political parties more interested in political interests than national integrity?
