KARACHI – Light rain/drizzle is likely in Karachi and parts of Sindh on Thursday night and Friday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal penetrate the upper/central parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave will likely affect the upper parts of the country from tonight.
Under these weather conditions, partly cloudy weather and light rain/drizzle are likely at isolated places in Tharparkar, Mithi, Umerkot, Badin, Mirpurkhas, Thatta and Karachi on Thursday night and Friday. Hot and humid weather is expected elsewhere in the province.
Karachi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 38-40°C on Friday and 36-38°C on Saturday.
Hyderabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 39-41°C on Friday and 40-42°C on Saturday.
Meanwhile, hot and humid weather prevailed in Karachi most districts of Sindh during the last 24 hours.
Dadu remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 47°C. The maximum temperature in Jacobabad was recorded at 46°C.
In Karachi, maximum temperature was recorded at 36°C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 65 per cent.
In Hyderabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 39°C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 61 per cent.
