LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) continued operations against illegal commercial use in Lahore.
On Tuesday, LDA sealed 16 buildings in different blocks of Allama Iqbal Town and another four in Shadman for not paying commercialization fee.
The sealed premises included The Educators Jinnah Campus, Crescent Kids Campus, EFA School System, Khawar Academy, Star Grammar School, The Study Point Academy, private clinic, saloons, pharmacy, grocery shop and private offices.
LDA Directors Town Planning Naveed Bhatti and Ayesha Matahir supervised the operation in their respective jurisdictions. The operation was carried out by the enforcement teams with the help of Police.
As per the officials, several notices were served to these buildings’ owners before carrying out the operation.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed continuing indiscriminate operations against violation of building and parking bylaws, encroachments and illegal commercial use in Lahore.
