A man son shot dead his mother and three sisters in the name of “honour” in Kabirwala on Friday.
According to a spokesperson of Punjab police, the accused escaped from the crime scene after killing his mother and sisters.
While taking notice of the incident, Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr Usman Anwar has sought a report of the incident from Regional Police Officer (RPO) Multan.
The IGP ordered the DPO Khanewal to arrest the accused as soon as possible.
DPO Khanewal Ismail Kharak reached the scene of the incident at Basti Loharan Wali near Pul Chaun in Kabirwala to supervise the investigation.
Crime scene unit and forensic teams have collected evidence from the crime scene, said the police spokesperson.
The deceased included 50-year-old Hasina Bibi, 35-year-old Samina Bibi, 20-year-old Amina Bibi and 15-year-old Alima Bibi. Accused Muhammad Abbas aged 20/22 years is the real son and brother of the victims.
Accused Abbas has killed the mother and sisters by firing with a 12-bore repeater, the police spokesperson said.
