ISLAMABAD – A 4.7 magnitude earthquake jolted parts of Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday.
The National Seismic Monitoring Centre in the federal capital said tremors were felt across the twin cities and several cities of the country’s northwestern province.
The epicenter was the southeastern region of Afghanistan while The depth of the earthquake was recorded at 98 kilometres.
Tremors were also felt in Peshawar, Swat, Parachinar, Malakand, Lower Dir, Hangu, Charsadda, Swabi and their surrounding areas.
