Awais invites Chinese company to set-up solar manufacturing plant in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – Minister for Power Division Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari invited the Chinese company LONGi Green Energy Technology Co. Ltd. on Saturday to set up a solar PV manufacturing plant in Pakistan.

A statement issued by the Power Division here said that in a meeting with Zhenguo Li, the President of LONGi Green Energy Company, the minister invited him to set up a solar manufacturing plant in Pakistan.

The minister briefed the Company’s President about Pakistan’s solar potential, adding that the share of renewable energy in the country’s energy mix was rapidly increasing. Mr Zhenguo Li assured us that he would fully support the promotion of solar energy in Pakistan.
