Indian forces have launched search operations in Samba and Poonch districts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the forces’ personnel launched search operations in the Purmandal area of Samba district and in the dense Marha forest area of Bufliaz in Poonch district.
Several areas, including forested regions, were thoroughly searched, although no significant find-ings have been reported so far.
In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kash-mir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has termed the Indian military’s cruel actions as the worst form of political vengeance to punish the Kashmiris for their affiliation with the freedom movement.
In a statement in Srinagar APHC spokesperson Abdul Rashid while paying glowing tributes to the three youth martyred in Kulgam, reiterated the resolve to continue its struggle until the mission of the martyrs is fulfilled.
He urged the United Nations to take notice of the unending Indian repression in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and pressurize New Delhi to resolve the Kashmir dispute in line with the Security Council resolutions.
Meanwhile, Peoples Democratic Party Chief Mehbooba Mufti addressing a public gathering in Budgam said the BJP-led Indian government’s rhetoric about normalcy in IIOJK is flawed as numerous youth are still languishing in jails and the Kashmiris continue to be robbed of their resources and identity.
On the otherhand, there seems to be no let up in the Kashmiris’ woes as they continue to be terrorized during the ongoing upsurge in violent cordon and search operations across the held territory.
The personnel of Indian army, paramilitary, police and so-called Village Defence Guards, armed to the teeth, have been carrying out such operations in different areas of Poonch, Rajouri and Doda districts for the last six days.—KMS
