In a swift crackdown on illegal gambling activities, law enforcement authorities apprehended 18 individuals engaged in gambling during raids conducted at two separate locations within the jurisdictions of Hazro and Hassanabdal police stations.
Acting on actionable intelligence, a police team swiftly moved in on a suspected gambling den in Hazro, where five individuals were caught red-handed in the act. Seizing gambling paraphernalia and a significant sum of bet money totaling Rs 1.86 million, law enforcement authorities swiftly moved to apprehend the perpetrators.
Simultaneously, in a coordinated effort, Hassanabdal Police conducted a raid on another gambling establishment, leading to the apprehension of thirteen individuals found indulging in illicit gambling activities. Alongside the arrests, gambling tools and bet money amounting to Rs 1.34 million were confiscated by the authorities.
In response to these illicit activities, separate cases under the Gambling Act have been registered by the respective police stations, signaling a robust stance against such unlawful practices. Furthermore, authorities have initiated thorough investigations to unravel any potential networks associated with these gambling dens, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining law and order in the region.
