The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports issues passport to its Pakistani citizens to facilitate their journey and provide them protection while travelling abroad.
The holder of a valid Pakistan passport, when in a foreign country, is entitled to the protection of diplomatic and consular representative of Pakistan in that country.
Pakistani nationals, who are applying for the passport first time, are required to visit the passport offices or foreign mission to submit application.
The department offers three categories for passport applications – Normal, Urgent and Fast Track. Here, we have gathered details about urgent category:
Pakistan Passport Fee for Urgent Category
The government has recently announced a whooping increase in the urgent fee for passport. As of May 2024, the urgent fee for standard 36-page passport for 5 years has been fixed at Rs7,500 from previous Rs5,000.
For 10-year validity period, the urgent fee for 36-page passport has been increased to Rs11,200.
For 72-page passport for 5 years, the urgent fee stands at Rs 13,500. For 100-page passport valid for 10 years, the new urgent fee has been jacked up to Rs20,200.
Urgent Passport Delivery Time
Details available on official website of the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports say the urgent fee passport will be issued in five working days.
However, the issuance of passport in this category practically takes 15 to 21 days.
