National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah has expressed grave concern over severe hardships and suffering being faced by the people in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir due to unaccountable bureaucratic system running the affairs of the territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing a rally in Srinagar, Farooq Abdullah said that there was an urgent need to defeat the hostile elements in Kashmir and send a clear message to this unaccountable bureaucratic system.
He said, “Unemployment is on the rise, people are deprived of basic needs and they are not heard anywhere at the official and administrative level. Inflation is on the rise today”.
He pointed out that loud claims of providing jobs and employment had been made in occupied Jammu and Kashmir but in the last 5 years the unemployment rate had broken all records. “Currently 15 lakh highly educated unemployed people are sitting at home and crossing the age limits”.
The NC leader said that the ongoing parliamentary election in IIOK was an opportunity to send a message to India and the world that what happened to the territory on August 5, 2019 had not been accepted by the people.—KMS
