Kamran Faridi, a lesser-known person in Pakistan, was recently covered in local media as an ex-FBI agent who walked out of prison in United States after 4 years of jail and now he is set to be deported to Asian nation.
The 57-year-old used to be a gangster in Karachi, back in the day before he worked for US law enforcement agency. He was released from Florida prison on the condition that he would deport himself to his homeland before August this year.
It was reported that Faridi was sentenced to around 7 years but his sentence was trimmed. Besides losing his US nationality, he also had his residence permits in Istanbul and Abu Dhabi.
He was charged with threatening former colleagues in FBI. The notorious street gangster was behind detention of Karachi businessman Jabir Motiwala in UK.

Over time, he developed differences with FBI after threatening to testify in court that Jabir Motiwala was innocent and that FBI had asked him to lie about Motiwala’s involvement in criminal activities.
His unexpected persona landed him behind bars in London in March 2020 as he attempted to enter UK from Miami. He was then extradited back to Florida, where he has now been released from the penitentiary.
Much like his current scenario, his past remained dark as he contributed in a gang war in Karachi before becoming an informant and agent for the FBI. Despite his contributions to US national security, Judge Seibel described his case as one of the most difficult sentences she had ever done.
