ISLAMABAD – Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is likely to visit Pakistan in the coming weeks, the sources said on Monday.
The exact dates for the visit, however, are being finalized.
They said that both the sides are hilding discussions to ensure a suitable schedule.
“If the visit materializes, it would mark the first bilateral visit of the Saudi Crown Prince to Pakistan since 2019,” said the sources, pointing out that the ties of both the countries would be strengthened.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, they said , directed for preparations for the expected visit.
The PM would not leave the country until the arrival of the Saudi guest.
The sources said that during the visit, major investment decisions worth five billion dollars are expected to be finalized.
“The agreements will pave the way to enhance economic cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan,” said the sources.
They said that the final date of the visit of the Crown Prince would be confirmed next week.
