NIM participants meet police chief

Thirty-eight officers from the 35th Senior Management Course (SMC) at the National Institute of Management (NIM) Karachi held a meeting with the Inspector General of Police Sindh, GhulamNabiMemon, under the leadership of Chief Instructor Abdul Khaliq Sheikh. The purpose of the meeting was to gain insights into the overall law and order situation in the province and the police’s overall efforts and initiatives in this regard. During the interaction, IG Sindh warmly welcomed the officers participating in the SMC and arranged a formal reception in their honor at the CPO.

IG Sindh briefed the SMC participants on the challenges faced in policing and the positive impacts of community-oriented policing and its implications for society. The IG emphasized the courageous actions of officers and youth in the successful operations and achievements of Sindh Police against criminal activities. He also highlighted the complete support and assistance provided by the Sindh government to the police force. He stated that the Karachi Safe City Project is not only limited to Karachi but is being initiated from Karachi and will later expand to Hyderabad, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas, and Larkana.

The Sindh government and Sindh Police are working on installing barriers and cameras on internal and external routes of Karachi city to ensure its safety and security. He mentioned that Sindh Police is actively working against street crime and criminals, and efforts will continue to be intensified in the future. During the meeting, a memorable shield was exchanged between IG Sindh and the Chief Instructor of NIM Karachi as a token of appreciation. The occasion was attended by DIG IT, Establishment, Finance, Training, and other police officers.
