ISLAMABAD – Scattered rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Friday and Saturday.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave will likely enter western parts of Balochinstan in the evening. It will likely affect western and upper parts of Pakistan on Friday.
Under these conditions, mainly dry weather with gusty winds is likely in the twin cities and most parts of Pakistan on Thursday evening/night. However, gusty winds/windstorms are likely in Sindh and south Balochistan during afternoon.
On Friday and Saturday, rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in the twin cities, Potohar region, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, north/northwestern Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. However, gusty winds/windstorms are likely in south Punjab and upper Sindh during evening/night..
Islamabad’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 33-35 degrees Celsius on Friday and 36-38 C on Saturday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 32-34 C on Friday and 33-35 C on Saturday.
Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed in the twin cities and most parts of Pakistan during the last 24 hours.
Lasbela remained the hottest place in the country where the maximum temperature was recorded at 41 C. In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 30 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 61 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 29 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 44 per cent.
