PESHAWAR – Scattered rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday and Saturday.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave will likely enter the western parts of Balochistan in the evening. It will likely affect the western and upper parts of Pakistan on Friday.
Under these conditions, mainly dry weather with gusty winds is likely in Peshawar and most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday evening/night.
On Friday and Saturday, rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected at isolated places in Waziristan, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Kurrum, Chitral, Swat, Dir, Kohistan, Malakand, Shangla, Buner, Manshera, Abbottabad, Peshawar and Swabi.
Peshawar’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 33-35 degrees Celsius on Friday and 34-36 C on Saturday.
Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed in Peshawar and most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.
Dera Ismail Khan remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 34 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 65 per cent.
In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 30 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 67 per cent.
