KARACHI – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held meaningful interaction with Karachi’s business community with two sides exchanged views on trade, economy and the overall situation.
During the meeting, premier Shehbaz Sharif, Finance Minister Aurangzeb, and several others shed light on privatization, and the way forward amid the economic crisis.
The businessmen community suggested Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to hold talks with PTI founding Chairman Imran Khan, who remains in jail since August last year.
businessmen suggested that they talk to Imran Khan. The businessmen also suggested to the Prime Minister to improve relations with other neighboring countries including India.
Pakistani business magnate and stock trader Arif Habib suggested the government to extend an olive branch toward other parties including PTI. The business community also suggested the incumbent government to resume trade with India.
During the meeting, PM Shehbaz Sharif also pushed the business community to come forward, and contribute to fix the economy.
Sharif also discussed privatization matter, hoping that whole development will be transparent. He said the government’s job is not to run industry, but policy formation.
He called business community backbone of the country’s economy, and said good policies will be formulated with support of businessmen.
