KARACHI – Major roads, including MA Jinnah road, are being closed for traffic in Karachi as Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is set to visit the port city today (Tuesday).
The Iranian president is currently in Lahore where he will hold meetings with Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. He is also scheduled to pay a visit to Mazar-e-Iqbal before flying to Karachi at 1:30pm.
As per the traffic plan, authorities have blocked MA Jinnah from Guru Mandir while the road leading to Numaish from Shahra-e-Quaideen has also been closed for traffic. Police have also placed containers around the Peoples Secretariat.
The one of the major road, Sharea Faisal will be closed from Jinnah International Airport to the PIDC for traffic for two hours (3pm to 5pm) due to security reasons.

The city administration has asked the citizens to use alternative roads to avoid inconvenience.
