The Embassy of Bangladesh hosted a reception to celebrate the 53rd anniversary of the independence and national day of Bangladesh.
Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh graced the occasion as the chief guest with his presence. The event graced by esteemed dignitaries and guests Chief Justice for Federal Shariah Court Iqbal Hameedur Rahman, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan and Dean of Diplomatic Corps Atadjan Movlamov, Chairman & Editor-in-chief Pakistan Observer Faisal Zahid Malik, former Minister of Foreign Affairs Jail Abbas Jilani, Senator Mushahid Hussein Syed, MNA Sehar Kamran also incuded.
The event commenced with the stirring rendition of the national anthems of both Bangladesh and Pakistan, setting a tone of unity and camaraderie. The venue was adorned with vibrant Bangali culture and adorned with photographs commemorating the leaders of Bangladesh. In his welcoming remarks, High Commissioner Ruhul Alam Siddique said that the vision and progress of Bangladesh under the leadership of President Ms. Sheikh Hasina. He underscored the enduring strength of the bilateral ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh, reflecting on the shared history and aspirations of the two nations.

Expressing gratitude for the warm hospitality extended during their tenure in Pakistan, High Commissioner Siddique announced that this reception marked the culmination of their diplomatic service in the country, reminiscing fondly about the cherished memories and respect received during their tenure.
Chief Guest Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh extended felicitations to Bangladesh on behalf of the Government of Pakistan, reaffirming the commitment to further strengthen the bilateral relationship between the two nations in the future. In his speech, he said cultures, history and geographic proximity was instrumental in shaping ties.
“We are committed towards taking our cordial relations to new heights. We must continue to work together in trade, cultural exchanges and people to people contacts,” he said.
