Awareness’ seminar on CPSc held

District Bar Association Thatta hosted a comprehensive seminar aimed at fostering awareness about consumer protection courts CPCs). In her address, the esteemed Special District and Session Judge, Mrs. Mushtri Khanam, underscored the importance of such initiatives, noting their alignment with directives from the esteemed Sindh High Court.

Highlighting the efficacy of consumer rights legislation, Judge Khanam lamented its inadequate implementation. She emphasized that without consumer awareness, effective protection of these rights remains elusive. Drawing parallels with Islamic principles dating back 1400 years, she illuminated the timeless relevance of rights encompassing deception, inaccurate measures, and dishonesty.

Judge Khanam advised consumers to always procure proper receipts for their purchases, whether it be foodstuffs or other commodities prone to substandard quality. She urged aggrieved consumers to seek recourse through the Consumer Protection Court.
