The Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice of the Islamic Emirate said that the ministry has received 6,800 complaints in the past year.

Mawlawi Sediqullah, the deputy minister for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, told TOLOnews that more than 1,700 of those complaints were from Kabul alone.

According to him, most complaints were related to issues of land, homes, the improper conduct of some members of the Islamic Emirate toward citizens, and women’s rights.

“6,800 complaints have been recorded across Afghanistan which have been addressed. The complainants have been convinced and their complaints have been addressed. Just from Kabul we had 1,722 complaints,” said Mawlawi Sediqullah, the deputy minister for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice.

He added that compared to the past one and a half years, the number of complaints registered by citizens has been decreasing.

”The distance and differences between the Taliban and people have been removed. Both sides understood each other. The Taliban stopped making all the mistakes they used to make,” he added.
