CM directs foolproof security at ZA Bhuttos shrine

Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, chaired a meeting of the Mausoleum Committee, directing the police and administration to ensure adequate security and traffic arrangements for the public gathering commemorating the death anniversary of the People’s Martyr, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh on April 14th. The meeting, held at the Chief Minister’s House, was attended by Shariq Memon, Naseer Shah, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah, IG Police Ghulam Nabi Memon, and Chief Meteorologist Sarfaraz Khan. Ministers Zia-ul-Hasan Lanjar, Jam Khan Shoro, Commissioner Larkana Mustafa Phul, and PPP’s Khair Mohammad Sheikh participated in the meeting via video link.

The Chief Minister instructed the Larkana administration to increase the number of entry and exit gates at the mausoleum from 40 to 56 to facilitate attendees’ access. He also stressed on ensuring adequate traffic arrangements for the convenience of the public.

Additionally, he informed that separate entry and exit routes have been designated for parking around the mausoleum. Moreover, Murad Ali Shah directed the Larkana administration to liaise with HESCO to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the gathering and to ensure standby generators are available to guarantee backup power.

The IG Police briefed the Chief Minister on security arrangements and traffic measures. In another development, Chief Minister Sindh expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident of a wall collapse in the village of Ramazan Andar, Matiari district, resulting in the loss of four children’s lives. He instructed the Deputy Commissioner of Matiari to meet with the grieving family, assist in the burial of their children, and oversee the reconstruction of the collapsed wall. He also extended condolences to the bereaved families.

Furthermore, Syed Murad Ali Shah condemned in strong terms the killing of two soldiers during an operation against terrorists in Buner, and the terrorist attack in Noshki, Balochistan, where innocent people were brutally murdered by terrorists.
