Metallic twine used in kite flying has started to become a nuisance, causing tripping of power transmission lines.
It has now emerged that these kites also get entangled in power transmission lines causing trippings and power outages.
Chief Executive IESCO Dr Muhammad Amjad khan in his statement said that kite flying has become dangerous and bloody sports which has taken so many human lives.
He said that use of metal string causes frequent tripping on power distribution systems resulting in damage to transformers meter and customers electronic appliances.
