The significance of environmental sustainability took center stage in Attock as International Forestry Day was observed with fervor and dedication. Deputy Commissioner Attock, Rao Atif Raza, emphasized the critical role of every citizen in safeguarding our future through the simple yet impactful initiative of “Harbashar-do darkhat” (every citizen-two trees).

Addressing a gathering organized by Government Graduate College in honor of International Forestry Day, Deputy Commissioner Rao Atif Raza underscored the urgent need to address the pressing challenges posed by environmental sustainability. He was joined by Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue, Waqas Aslam Marth, Assistant Commissioner Ms. Humira Shah, Divisional Forest Officer Ashfaq Bashir, and other esteemed officials of the local administration.

Highlighting the district’s commitment to environmental conservation, Rao Atif Raza revealed plans for a massive tree plantation campaign in Attock. This year, a staggering 401,000 saplings are slated to be planted during the spring tree plantation drive.
