ISLAMABAD – A National Accountability Court accepted the applications of Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz, the sons of PML-N Supremo and former Prime Minister Nawaz sharif, seeking exemption from personal appearance before the court on Friday (today).
Judge Nasir Javed Rana of the Accountability Court in Islamabad passed the order.
Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz had moved the court for acquittal from Avenfield, Al-Azizia, and Flagship references.
The lawyers of Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz appeared in court.
NAB prosecutors Afzal Qureshi, Sohail Arif and Usman Masood were also present.
On this occasion, the NAB asked for time to collect records. The court allowed it’s request.
During the hearing, Advocate Rana Irfan submitted a plea before the court and requested one day exemption from appearance of Hassan and Hussain Nawaz before it.
The court accepted the plea and allowed one day exemption.
It may be mentioned here that the sons of the former Prime Minister Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz filed exemption requests in three NAB references.
Earlier, an accountability court in Islamabad had revoked the status of advertisements regarding the arrest warrants of Nawaz Sharif’s sons, and allowed bail against surety bond of worth Rs 50,000 each.
Now, the hearing on the case has been adjourned until March 19.
