Local fishermen from Karachi hit the jackpot after capturing a rare Sowa fish on Thursday, turning them into overnight millionaires. Hanif Katiyar, a fisherman from the coastal village of Kharo Chan, along with his crew, reeled in a remarkable haul of over 300 rare Sowa fish, spreading joy among the fishing community. The Sowa fish, caught near Keti Bandar, commands prices in the millions owing to its scarcity and high demand.
This is n’t the first time fishermen have stumbled upon a rare find. In a similar instance, fishermen from Balochistan’s coastal city Gwadar recently came across an unexpected catch a rare ‘sunfish’. Fishermen in Gwadar were astonished when their nets pulled in the elusive Sun Fish. Weighing over 2 tons, the Sun Fish is typically found in the depths of the ocean, making such encounters a rarity.
