Islamia University Bahawalpur organized a special seminar on the occasion of International Women’s Day under the aegis of the Department of Social Work and Department of Public Relations.
In the seminar, Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum, Dean, Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences, Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Nasreen Akhtar, Chairperson, Department of Special Education, Dr. Rubina Yasmin, Chairperson, Department of Pakistan Studies, Ms. Samira Rabbani, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ms. Rubina Abbasi Director General PHA, Prof. Dr. Syeda Dar Shehwar Tirmezi, Principal, Dubai Mahal Degree College, Mrs. Ambar Tanseer, Social Worker, Bahawalpur, Mrs. Sadia Nauman Haqi, Mrs. Khazeema Pirzada, CEO, Libra Valley, Bahawalpur, Ms. Humira Yasmin, CEO Pakistan Rural Workers Social Welfare Organization (PRWSWO), delivered a special address.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar had a special meeting with female teachers and female guests and congratulated them on International Women’s Day. In the seminar, special speeches were made in connection with the provision of resources to women for the development of the theme of International Women’s Day 2024 by the United Nations.
