Citi Lab Rawalpindi Robbed By Armed Man In Just 60 Seconds Cctv Goes Viral

RAWALPINDI – A broad daylight robbery by an armed man storming a private medical laboratory in Rawalpindi raised concerns over law and order in the city as the robber held a female employee at gunpoint and escaped in no time.

The robbery occurred at City Lab (CITI LAB) on Tulsa Road, within the jurisdiction of Civil Lines Police Station. The shocking CCTV footage, lasting nearly one minute, shows how the suspect entered the laboratory in broad daylight and threatened a woman working alone at the reception desk.

The armed suspect arrived outside the laboratory on a motorcycle before walking through its glass entrance. Dressed in a light-coloured shalwar kameez, the bearded man approached the female data-entry operator, who was occupied with paperwork.

Within seconds, the suspect pulled out a pistol and pointed it directly at the employee, at one stage aiming the weapon towards her head and upper body. With no colleagues or customers present to assist her, the frightened woman was forced to comply with the gunman’s demands. CCTV footage shows the employee handing over her mobile phone while the robber searched the reception area for valuables.

The suspect then opened a desk drawer, took cash and picked up another mobile phone lying on the counter. He placed the stolen items in his pockets while continuing to threaten the employee. The armed man allegedly forced the woman to unlock a mobile phone at gunpoint.

After robbing all valuables, he calmly turned around and walked out through the same glass door, leaving the visibly shaken employee behind. The entire robbery unfolded in approximately 60 seconds, with the suspect’s face clearly captured by the surveillance cameras.

After the incident, Maryam Sudheer, a member of the laboratory’s administrative staff, lodged a complaint with Civil Lines police, prompting the registration of a criminal case.

Rawalpindi Police launched investigation and constituted special teams to identify, trace and arrest the armed suspect. Senior police officers are reportedly supervising the investigation.
