The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has condemned summoning youth to police stations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and termed it another manifestation of the worst form of state terrorism by the Hindutva BJP regime.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC spokesman, Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement in Srinagar said the Indian BJP government is using militaristic tactics to stifle the voice of freedom and punish those who are peacefully striving for freeing their homeland from Indian illegal occupation.

He pointed out that all brutal acts, including the arrests of pro-freedom leaders and activists, of the Indian BJP regime would fail to deter the Kashmiri people from continuing their legitimate freedom struggle. He maintained that the right to self-determination is a fundamental right of the Kashmiri people and they would continue their struggle for the realisation of the inalienable right.

The spokesman reiterated the Kashmiris’ demand from the United Nations Secretary General and the global community to implement the World Body’s resolutions on Kashmir and hold a free and fair plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir.

He also appealed to the UN Human Rights Council and other international rights organisations to take stock of the grave human rights violations perpetrated, day in and day out, by the Indian troops in the territory and hold Modi and other Indian leaders accountable for the crimes against humanity. The spokesman also condemned the re-arrest of journalist Asif Sultan in Srinagar.—KMS
