LAHORE – The Education department in Punjab used to announce the new timings for all the private and public schools every year for the holy month of Ramadan.
In the previous Ramzan, all government and private schools in the region commenced classes at 7:30 am till 12 pm from Monday to Thursday. On Friday, the schools opened from 7:30 am to 11:30 am.
Meanwhile, morning classes in double-shift schools started at 7:15am and 12:30pm and closed at 12:15pm and 4:30pm, respectively.
The holy month of Ramzan 2024 is expected to begin in Pakistan on March 11 or 12 while a decision about schools timings are yet to be made by the authorities.
Current Schools Timings in Punjab
Authorities in Punjab announced new school timings in early February 2024 as the harsh cold winter has ended, adding that the new timings will be applicable till April.
The school timings were revised after pleasant weather conditions as the extreme cold wave ended, which earlier forced the government to revise the timings.
As per the latest update, the regular classes in boys’ schools in Lahore and other cities in Punjab start from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, whereas classes of girls’ schools will commence from 8:15 am – 2:15 pm.

Expected Ramzan 2024 School Timings in Punjab
As the holy month of Ramzan is set to begin in March like the previous years, there are possibilities that timings for all public and private schools will be revised. It is expected that schools will open from 7:30 am in Ramzan.
The decision on the school timings will be updated here as soon as it is announced by the government.
