PML-N and PPP Representatives to Hold Crucial Meeting on Government Formation
“The talks between the PML-N and PPP regarding government formation have not yielded a definitive resolution so far,” they said, citing the insiders.
They said that today’s meeting is very important, with discussions focused on finalizing government formation matters and potentially reaching a consensus on the key issues.
Speaking to reporters, senior PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal remarked that the discussions are progressing positively. He also hinted that certain decisions regarding the PPP’s inclusion in the cabinet may have already been made.
On Monday night, the committees discussed the matters and adjourned their sitting to consult their top leadership.
Nawaz Sharif, the PML-N Supremo, has also reached Murree.
The sources said that an important meeting is also expected between Nawaz Sharif and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari regarding formation of the governments.
On other hand, PTI announced its alliance with the Sunni Itehad Council (SIC) and Majlis-e-Wahdatul-Muslimeen (MWM) to form the governments.
The latest reports suggested that the SIC approached the ECP to allocate reserves seats after PTI-backed independents joined it.
