LAHORE – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted cold and dry weather for Lahore and most parts of Punjab, and freezing weather for Murree and Galyat on Wednesday evening/night and the next two days.
According to the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, extremely cold weather is expected in Murree, Galyat and surroundings on Wednesday evening/night, Thursday and Friday. Cold and dry weather is likely in Lahore and most parts of Punjab. Shallow fog is likely to prevail at a few places in Narowal, Sheikhupura, Sialkot and Bahawalpur during morning and night hours.
Murree’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 00-02 degrees Celsius on Thursday and Friday.
Lahore’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 08-10 C on Thursday and 09-11 C on Friday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in Lahore and most parts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Freezing weather prevailed in Murree, Galyat and surroundings. Shallow fog prevailed in parts of Punjab during the night and morning hours.
Murree remained the coldest place in the province where the temperature dropped to freezing point. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 58 per cent.
In Lahore, minimum temperature was recorded at 08 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 82 per cent.
