The Islamabad police have submitted a report in the Supreme Court’s suomotu case regarding the protection for journalists.
According to the report, six people were involved in the attack on senior journalist AbsarAlam and have been arrested. It further says that suspect HammadSuleman confessed to attacking Alam at the behest of individuals living in France in exchange for money.
The report quoted the suspect as saying that he received the money from two France-based individuals, Shahnawaz and MirzaZainGhayas, through a bank.
