LAHORE – Former fast bowler of the national team, Mohammad Amir, has reacted to the delay in the results of the general elections.

In a message on the social media website X (Twitter), the 31-year-old Mohammad Amir wrote, “PTI is ahead in initial results throughout Pakistan! However, the sudden pause in voting results raises concerns. Transparency is the key to democratic process. Waiting for updates and hoping for a fair resolution,”.

It should be noted that the process of announcing results after polling in the general elections is ongoing in the country, and so far, only a few unofficial and non-final results of some constituencies of the National Assembly have been released.

The polling for the general elections continued from 8 am to 5 pm, and millions of people exercised their right to vote.

Furthermore, mobile phone and internet services remained suspended in the country, causing difficulties for candidates and voters alike. The process of announcing results after polling in the general elections is ongoing in the country.

According to the unofficial and non-final results of the National Assembly so far, PTI-supported independent candidates have won 29 seats, Muslim League (N) has won 18, and Pakistan Peoples Party has won 11 seats.
