ISLAMABAD – The government has suspended mobile phone services across the country amid the ongoing general elections in view of recent terrorist attacks in parts of the country.
The Ministry of Interior Ministry confirmed the development in a social media post, stating that it has been decided to temporarily suspend the mobile service across the country.
It said several precious lives were lost in recent terrorist attack, adding that security measures are essential to maintain law and order situation in the country.

On the other hand, people in different parts of country have reported internet outage on the Election Day.
A user in Lahore said that he was unable to use internet services due to suspension of mobile phone services in the country.
A day earlier, at least 26 people were killed and several injured in twin bomb blasts outside candidates’ offices in Balochistan.
