The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has forwarded the list of eligible journalists to the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority for allotment of plots under the journalist’s quota for the Islamabad’s Sectors Bara Khau and F14/15, as recommended by the Plot Selection Committee.
The Plot Selection Committee was constituted on 31-10-2017comprising senior Rawalpindi and Islamabad based journalist i.e. Mr. Afzal Butt, Mr. ShakeelAnjum, Mr. Nawaz Raza, Mr. JavaidSaddique, Mr. MubarrakZeb Khan, Principal Information Officer (ex officio), Director Press (ex officio) and Chairman Mr. SaeedJaved (senior Information Group officer) to scrutinize the applicants.
The eligibility criteria for the allotment of plot required that applicant must be a full-time journalist working for Pakistani private media, with 20-year experience out of which 15 years’ service must be rendered in Rawalpindi/Islamabad and no plot has been allotted to him/her or family member by any government agency previously. The base line criteria for Bara Khau sector was “First Come, First Serve” and for F14/15 was “Age-Wise Seniority”.
The Grievance Redressal Committee has also been constituted to review the applications of concerned applicants in the light of eligibility criteria formulated by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
The complaints of the concerned applicants must approach the Grievances Redressal Committee within seven working day. The list of the eligible journalists as recommended by the Plot Selection Committee for Phase-I(Bara Kahu) and Phase-II(F14/15) is displayed on the website of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
