Pakistan’s latest price correction has coincided with falling international gold prices. The global bullion rate declined by $25 per ounce on Saturday to $3,995, crossing below the closely watched $4,000 level. International gold movements play an important role in determining domestic bullion prices, alongside exchange-rate fluctuations and local market conditions.
The latest figures show that both domestic and international gold markets weakened during Saturday’s trading, although the available data does not establish how much of Pakistan’s decline was attributable to each factor.
