The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that the people of Indian illegally occupied Kashmir have been facing the worst Indian state terrorism for the last over seventy-six years due to apathy of the international community.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC leaders including Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Muhammad Saleem Zargar, Muhammad Yasin Attai, Abdul Samad Inqilabi, Javaid Ahmed Mir, Farida Bahenji, Farooq Ahmed, Maulana Musaib Nadvi, Muhammad Umar, Muhammad Aaqib and Israr Ahmed in their statements issued in Srinagar said the Kashmiris have been suffering under brutal Indian occupation since 1947. They deplored that Indian troops enjoying impunity under draconian laws are engaged in extrajudicial killings in the occupied territory to intimidate the Kashmiri people. They said the occupation troops have murdered thousands of Kashmiris in fake encounters in the last 34 years.

The leaders said India’s brutal actions in occupied Kashmir amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity. They pointed out that since Narendra Modi became Prime Minister of India, the Indian brutalities against the Kashmiris have increased sharply as India in his tenure has become a Hindutva fascist regime like the Nazis of Germany.

The APHC leaders said the Indian war crimes in IIOJK are a challenge to the international community. They said that the Indian troops should be prosecuted for committing the worst human rights violations in an internationally-recognized disputed territory. It is time to hold the Modi regime accountable for its crimes against humanity, they said, adding that the world powers must shun their duplicity and stop the Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir.—KMS
