ISLAMABAD – Pakistani government has decided to restore full diplomatic ties with Iran and appointing ambassadors back, ending the brief stand with Western neighbor as both sides fired missiles into each other land.

The move came as interim Anwaar Kakar chaired an emergency meeting of the Cabinet Committee on National Security following the recent tension. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir and members of the interim federal cabinet attended the meeting.

The apex security committee has decided the restoration of full diplomatic ties with Tehran including sending back the Ambassador as both sides agreed to de-escalate the situation after retaliatory strikes.

It has been learnt that Pakistan’s acting foreign minister Jalil Jilani has invited his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian for bilateral talks.

With back-to-back skirmishes, Pakistan has made it clear that if its territorial sovereignty is violated, it will respond with the full pace and place of its choosing, signaling its strike precision remains at the top.
